Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, where it sits, and how to make us delete it. No fog, no fine print. If a line here is unclear, tell us and we will rewrite it.
1. Who we are
Probock Technology (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2026/355528/07, trading as Probock, is an AI consulting and implementation business. Our registered address is 53A Florence Road, Bedfordview, Gauteng, 2008, South Africa, and we operate from Stellenbosch in the Western Cape. We decide why and how your personal information is used, which makes us the responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013, better known as POPIA. 2. What we collect
Your name, phone number, email address, company name and job title, plus whatever you type into our forms. That covers the Leak Check form on this website, the lead forms we run on Meta, meaning Facebook and Instagram, and anything you send us on WhatsApp. We also receive ordinary technical data when you visit the site, such as your IP address and which pages you opened. We do not ask for your identity number, your banking details, or anything else we have no use for.
3. Why we collect it
Three reasons and no others. To contact you about the Leak Check or audit you asked for. To run the work if you become a client. To send you the occasional email about what we are building, which you can stop at any time by replying with the word stop or clicking unsubscribe. Under POPIA we rely on your consent for the first and third, and on our contract with you for the second.
4. Where it is stored
Our CRM runs on Supabase in the EU region. This website and its form run on Vercel. Email runs through Google Workspace and Resend. Bookings run through Calendly. Messaging runs through WhatsApp Business. Several of those providers hold data outside South Africa, which POPIA permits where the receiving party is bound to a comparable standard of protection, and these are. We do not sell your information. We do not rent it. We do not trade it. Not now, not later, not for any price.
5. Meta lead forms and ads
If you fill in one of our lead forms on Facebook or Instagram, Meta passes your answers to us under Meta's own terms, and Meta's privacy policy governs what Meta itself does with them. That is the only way Meta is involved with us. We do not run the Meta Pixel on this website. We do not run the Conversions API either. Nothing you do on these pages is reported back to Meta, and we cannot tell whether an advert brought you here unless you tell us yourself. If that ever changes, we will say so on this page before we switch anything on.
6. How long we keep it
If you are a lead and never become a client, we keep your information for 24 months from the last time we spoke, then delete it. If you become a client, we keep it for the length of the engagement and then five years after it ends, because South African tax law requires us to hold business records that long. Ask us to delete you sooner and we will, except for the records that the tax rule forces us to keep.
7. Your rights under POPIA
You can ask what we hold on you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to us using it, and tell us to stop emailing you. One email to noah@probocktech.com does all of it, and we will come back to you within 30 days. It costs you nothing and you do not have to give a reason. If you think we have handled your information badly, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at justice.gov.za/inforeg. You do not need our permission to do that, and we would rather you did it than stayed unhappy quietly.
8. Cookies
This site sets the few cookies it needs to work. No advertising cookies, no tracking pixel, nothing that follows you from here to another website. If you reach the booking step, Calendly loads its scheduling widget and sets its own cookies, because without it there is no calendar to book. That is the whole list, which is why this site never asks you to accept cookies. There is nothing here to accept.
9. Effective date
This policy took effect on 26 August 2026. It was last changed on 27 August 2026, when we corrected sections 5 and 8. If we change how we handle your information, we change this page and move the date. We will not quietly start doing something new and leave the old wording up.
